Dividend distribution restrictions – article in SME
In April 2020, we wrote an article for the SME daily about the possibilities and limitations of paying dividends during a pandemic. In his article, Tomáš Demo introduced the owners and directors of companies to the possibilities, limitations and risks associated with the payment of profits and excess liquidity from companies. One of the main topics of the article was the duties and responsibilities of the directors and owners of companies for the bankruptcy of the company and the damage caused to the creditors by the unauthorized payment of funds from the company’s property. In an interview with the conservative daily POSTOJ, Peter Varga discussed, among other things, how entrepreneurs can legally move and transfer the healthy part of their company from another part affected by the economic effects of the pandemic.
